Red oak
log ready to be loaded on to saw mill. Aprox 11' long about 24" diameter. Log probably weighs close to 2000#.
Large old cherry wood log
Around 11 ft long probably 28" diameter. Was cut into various live edge slabs between 1.5", 2.5" up to 5" thickness.
5" Thick logs could take up to 4 or 5 years to air dry completely. Kiln drying would take several months for 5" thick slabs. This tree fell behind my barn about 6 years ago.
Black walnut live edge boards
About 8' long 16" wide nice grain, 1 to 2.5" thickness. Fresh cut waiting to try. Will look really nice when finished.
End of big Red oak log
almost 30" diameter. Close to maximum size log that will fit on this sawmill. This was cut into 1 1/4, 2 1/2 thick live edge slabs and 2 5" thick x 12" wide x 10' mantel pieces.
